When to go Faroe Islands ?
Theclimate of the Faroe Islands is oceanic-subarctic, characterized by cool summers and mild winters:
The high season, from June to August, sees average temperatures of around 11°C in Tórshavn, the main destination, with long, clear days.
In the low season, from November to March, the weather in the Faroe Islands is harsher, with temperatures around 3°C, and days are noticeably shorter.
Tórshavn may have these values, but other places, especially at higher altitudes, are cooler. The Faroe Islands' weather is also characterized by variability and frequent precipitation throughout the year. For the best balance of temperature, light and crowds, May and September are the most interesting months.
