The food used to be great

Delicious food and the best coffee ☕ in Dubai

We went to this place at its opening/first months, it was nice, clean, with good French pastry.
Went back yesterday after a long time.. what to say ? Maybe the fact that the restaurant was empty, especially compared to the other ones near it...
First of, I wanna say that the staff was welcoming and nice, allowed us with my tiny dog, which is rare enough in Dxb to go unnoticed. But the seatings, table, general appareance wasn't clean/neat at all, with a sense of general neglect (stains on the seats, cushions, dirt/crumbs from previous meals everywhere, on the floor..). Ok... we wanted to grab something to eat quickly, so we stayed anyway, despite the red flags, so maybe it was our fault..
We ordered : 1 bruschetta, 1 cesar salad w/chicken, 1 pizza margherita, 1 focaccia sandwich and drinks...
The food was below average, tasteless.. we ate not even half of it.
Ok...
Payed the check, left.
Went back home directly from there.
By the time we got home, my mother ran directly to the washroom, threw up like she was gonna die, with huge stomach cramps and ... let's say the rest!
30mn later? It was my first daughter who followed the same path, with violent spams, she rendered everything..
Needless to say that my other daughter and I got the same treatment later on in the evng, and that we all spent a horrendous night, from bed to bathrooms and vice versa, even after we took meds for nausea, stomachache, dia...hea ..
So there you go, Rue Royale. Maybe washing hands, cleaning properly, serving fresh food, and keeping your customers healthy would be a thing to think about ? I'm really disappointed and quite taken aback by what I imagine happened..

We had dinner to celebrate a special occasion and the person who waited our table was amazing. Good service by Ahmed Elwaifee. Very attentive and was checking how was our food or if we needed anything more. Good job Ahmed keep it up!

We had a good time eating while watching the dancing fountain with the bueautiful view of Atlantis. Very good service from Ahmed Elwaifee.????????⭐️

Highly not recommended.

When we arrived, the waiter offered us a glass of wine, which we took without thinking. He brought us in a completely wet glass and it was warm, he brought later some ice. Then I had a pizza that was dry, not worthy regarding the price.
But when we wanted to pay, the waiter came and asked us for cash for the wine, we didn't have any cash so we could only pay by card. He asked for 75 AED per 0.1dl of wine. So the 2 glasses of not a very good wine were 150 AED. When I asked why it wasn't visible on the receipt, he started to have excuses that it was wine from another restaurant etc. So in the end, we believe he just took the money for himself...

Beautiful place and view. The food was very good and very tasty. But this is definitely not a French restaurant. Most of the menu is Italian, of course there is some French plats but not that much compare to the rest. Also even if the service was nice it was not up to the quality it should be compared to the price you are paying. So I would say overall good food but maybe a little expensive.

Ресторан делал катеринг у нас в доме. Это было ужасно. Сервис ноль, профессионализм ноль, еда холодная, порции маленькие ! Мы заказывали одни закуски, а нам принесли дешевые закуски арабской кухни, которые мы не заказывали, вместо того что мы заказали! Персонал плохо обслуживал людей и пил наш алкоголь на кухне без нашего ведома.

Feel like having dinner with beautiful sea view? Rue royale is the perfect place with great food and fresh juice! Visited with friends,definitely coming back :)

One fo the worse place ever...I wonder why the Palm authorized such a low quality at such an expensive price. Nothing is controlled on the cooking...meat over cooked...dishes not taking their promises

Place is nice with a nice view, customer service is fine, food is okay, nothing special, mushroom soup was bad as if it was watered

Services digne des plus grands palace avec des prix accessibles à tous. Tout simplement magique. Sans parler de leur emplacement au premier plan de la fontaine illuminée avec la vue sur l’hôtel Atlantis. Un grand merci pour leur Incroyable accueil ainsi que de nous avoir fait partager leur magnifique savoir culinaire.

It could be perfect for others, but I visited twice, French menu and Indian. Some of the dishes were perfectly balanced taste, but others were totally out of balance. Staff not paying attention to details on the table.

BY FAR ONE OF THE BEST RESTURANTS IN DUBAI

Personnel très agréable par contre nourriture très basique! Les entrées sont italiennes ou autre alors que c’est un restaurant français, bœuf Rossini (bœuf très sec et le foie gras n’est même pas cuit à l’intérieur. Je pense qu’il faut revoir les plats proposés et maîtriser la cuisson des produits.

Nice place in general but it's a shame not to have a dairy free milk for coffee (soya at least) nowadays

This is a well recommended restaurant,excellent food and service.
