SOUK MADINAT JUMEIRAH
Part of the Jumeirah Group family, the Madinat Jumeirah souk is part of a vast, luxurious hotel complex, nestling between three palaces, the Mina A'Salam and Al Naseem on the right and the Al-Qasr on the left. Built on the presumed model of a traditional market, with long, gypsum-walled aisles, columns, a teak wood framework with openwork arches, lanterns and stalls with lined-up doors, it has "only" 75 shops and 25 restaurants. The result is surprising and enchanting, especially at dusk when the darkness helps to make the illusion almost perfect. Organized into parallel and converging galleries, opening onto different terraces, this poetic ensemble surprises the stray stroller with splendid views of the wind towers and canals where small abras sail. The boutiques are mainly arts, crafts and souvenir stores, but many fashion brands have also found a choice showcase here, as has a theater. Most of the restaurants are located on the water's edge and serve meals on the terrace, which is particularly pleasant in the right season. From several points, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Burj al-Arab.
