"The Old Library, established in 1969, is the oldest English-speaking library in Dubai. This institution serves the needs of the expatriate community. It is a non-profit organization run entirely by volunteers and licensed by the Dubai Community Development Authority. The Library gratefully accepts donations of used books. Books in "like-new" condition are used to supplement the collection and others are sold as used books to buy new ones.
