For nine days, the historic district of al-Fahidi (formerly Bastakiya) is the setting for a variety of installations created by local artists especially for the site, under the patronage of Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-Chairman of Dubai's Department of Culture and Arts. 60,000 people turn out every year to discover the exhibitions, performances, films and poetry that are spread throughout the houses and streets of the old Iranian quarter. Lots of atmosphere in the afternoon.
