The emirate's first school, featuring a courtyard, water storage room, library...

The Al Ahmadiya School was the Emirate's first educational establishment in 1912. The tour is quick but interesting. The inner courtyard served as a playground, sports hall and open space for poetry declamation. The water storage room shows its importance here. The traditional classroom, with its elongated structure and austerely aligned tables, was reserved for lectures. The library displays old manuscript pages and old school objects, such as penholders and whistles.
