POET AL OQAILI MUSEUM
Historic 187 m² house built in 1923 with furniture, kitchen and works by poet Mubarak Al Oqaili.
It can be found in the maze of the spice souk. The house was built in 1923 and the poet Mubarak Al Oqaili lived there until his death in 1954. He is one of the most recognized poets of the local culture. This house is a historical building composed of 9 rooms through which the visitor can discover the furniture, the kitchen and the work of the famous poet. The house is not large and its 187 square meters are divided between two floors. All the rooms are organized around an interior patio. It was restored in 2010 and opened to the public in 2012.
