Strategically placed at the foot of the Burj Khalifa and facing the world's tallest fountains, the Dubai Opera House stands as the centerpiece of the new Downtown district "The Opera District". With its innovative architecture, glass and steel structure and curved lines, it is reminiscent of the elegant shapes of the wooden dhows that ply the Persian Gulf, the sailing ships particular to the region. The bow of the ship houses the main stage, the orchestra and the seating for the audience. The acoustics are excellent.
