It is the former quarter of the Emiratis and their rulers, and lies along the mouth of the Creek. This strategic location enabled the sheikhs to control the traffic of ships bringing their cargoes from Persia, India and other lands. Restored (almost too much) in recent years, this district is undergoing a major transformation and is a great place for family outings. It is also home to some twenty museums.

Aménagé sur les quais à l'embouchure de la Dubaî Creek et à l'extrémité de la zone commerciale touristique, ce quartier ancien fait l'objet d' une rénovation de qualité avec des bâtiments à l'architecture varié et le soir des éclairages appropriés. Un moment de détente assuré dans zone tranquille.
