These huge traditional merchant ships offer an impressive spectacle. These days, they are built with basic tools (hammers, burin, saw, drill…). Manual work predominates, while respecting tradition: The boards are curved and then adjusted above the other, before the internal structure of the vessel is shaped inside (the opposite in the West, the frame always before the shell!). Teak remains the most used wood because of its legendary robustness.

L'occasion de voir un autre Dubai.
