Founded in 2008 by Amel Makkawi in order to create a platform for artistic talent in the region, Art Sawa - which has a second address to al-Quoz - is a dynamic space of meetings and expression, an ambitious project offering exhibitions, workshops and conferences. The gallery introduced artists such as Egyptian sculptor Ahmed Askalany or Syrian painter Sara Shamma on the vibrant artistic scene of Dubai.
