HERITAGE HOUSE
House built around 1890 by Mattar bin, now home to a large collection of objects linked to Bedouin cultural heritage.
Built around 1890 by Mattar bin Saeed bin Muzzaaina, this house originally consisted of two rooms opening onto a large courtyard. In 1910, Sheikh Ahmed bin Dalmouk, Dubai's best-known pearl merchant, became the owner and enlarged the house. In 1920, he made a gift of the house to Saeed bin Hamdan, who kept it until 1935. It was then sold to Ibrahim Al Saïd Abdullah, who restored it as an example of a traditional Emirati family home. A large collection of objects relating to Bedouin cultural heritage is on display.
