RSPB
The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds works for the maintenance of bird stocks in England, Scotland and Wales. It is also doing a great job of raising awareness and promotion among the general public.
What are they proposing? Volunteers commit themselves within the reserves for various tasks : reception of the public, coaching and animation of visitors, assistance in scientific research and site maintenance. Many tasks to be filled, ranging from 2 weeks to 6 months, are regularly offered on the website. You will work 5 days a week and you can spend your free time on bird watching.
Where? England, Scotland and Wales.
Profile and conditions. Volunteers must be more than 18 years old, understand English and often have a driving licence. Travel and meals are at your disposal, but you will be accommodated (provide a sleeping bag). Membership in RSPB is £ 10.
