MEMORIAL
The museum (muzeum). At the entrance to the Memorial. Open from 9 am to 16 pm, 17 pm or 18 pm depending on the month. Tariff 80 Kč, reduced 40 Kč (the ticket also gives access to the gallery). Guided tour on request: 500 Kč. It offers temporary exhibitions, a multimedia exhibition and the Hall in Memorium. The visit is very difficult. Left of the museum, left, is the Hall In Memoriam and, on the right, the Gloriet.
The Gallery (Lidická gallery). In the new village, open from 10 am to 16 pm or 17 pm depending on the month. The basement houses a permanent exhibition of gifts from artists from all over the world. In front of the building, outside, there is a monument to Carrara in homage to the martyrs of Lidice and realized in 1962. The naked man, carved in granite, who kills three vipers with a lacrosse embodies fascism.
The rose rose (růžový sad). Left after the museum, in the park. It covers 3,5 hectares. In tribute to the victims, many countries have offered assortiments of roses.
If you continue in the park, you will see the Monument in memory of the 105 children separated from their mother on the evening of tragedy. After a long survey in 1947, 17 children were found; the other 88 died, gassed for the most. The work, on a human scale, is a spontaneous contribution by the Czech salish Marie Uchytilová. By continuing your path, you pass before the Tomb of Men, the foundations of the church and those of the school, and then the old cemetery.
Mémorial ✆ 739 335 734 memorial - www.lezaky-memorial.cz. Open every day except Monday from March to October from 9 am to 17 pm. Tariff 30 Kč, reduced 20 Kč (500 Kč). Just next to the Mémorial Memorial, this memorial is small and less famous, as is the history of the village to whom it pays tribute. This hamlet of 8 houses was burned on 24 June 1942, the adults were executed and the children deported (out of the 13 children in the village, only 2 survived).
