RANDONNÉE AU REFUGE DE BÜRGERALM

A 5 km walk through the Chiemgau Alps leads to the Bürgeralm refuge at an altitude of 1,330 metres. It is here that the Fahringen family produces its mountain cheeses from the good milk of the cows that graze peacefully in the surrounding mountain pastures. A small shop to fill your backpack with food: cheese, of course, but also cold meats. Unless you prefer to enjoy all these products on the terrace of the refuge, facing the panorama. And if the short walk and its gourmet stopover have left you hungry, you can continue the hike to Breitenstein (1,662 m) to fill your eyes with the endless view to Wilder Kaiser or even Grossglockner.
