Timetable
Tyrol's busiest season is summer and winter. As in France, stores are often closed at midday.
To be booked
Reservations are recommended for restaurants, accommodation in small resorts during the high season, and refuges if you're hiking in summer. In big cities like Innsbruck, remember to book your museum visits too.
Budget & Tips
Many cities offer very attractive passes for visiting museums and getting around at lower cost. Discounts for children, senior citizens and family packages.
Main events
In Tyrol, the main events follow the seasons: up and down the mountain pastures, Christmas festivities, opening and closing of ski resorts... Ask your local tourist office for more information as soon as you arrive.
Guided tours
They are held mainly in English and German, but depending on the popularity of the tour you wish to take, you may be able to request a French-speaking guide.
