The Sky of Meuse

On the first day, discover the Ciel de Meuse, in the north of the department. The Ciel de Meuse will surprise you by the exceptional preservation of its monuments such as the basilica ofAvioth, the citadel of Montmédy, the museum of Beer of Stenay, the Ipoustéguy center of Doulcon in the heart of an exceptional nature.
Verdun and surroundings

The next day, immerse yourself in the heart of the Meuse River in Verdun, a city symbolic of the Great War. Surrounded by green hills and crossed by the Meuse River, this pleasant town opens onto the Verdun region and its many riches. Then take the road to the Verdun Memorial, in the heart of the battlefield, with its exceptional museography. After a good dose of culture and history, take in the Argonne, a natural territory to the west of Verdun that's a veritable playground for nature lovers. You'll be charmed by its bucolic landscapes and lush countryside.
Plaine de la Woëvre, Côtes de Meuse and Vallée des Ducs

On the third day, start your day exploring the vineyards and orchards of the Woëvre plain and the Côtes de Meuse in the east of the department. FromSaint-Mihiel and on to the shores of Lac de Madine, the Côtes de Meuse will transport families and hikers along the paths of leisure activities and heritage. Finish in style by discovering the most discreet of the Meuse valleys: the Vallée des Ducs. Be dazzled by the Renaissance heritage of the upper town of Bar-le-Duc, by the Ornain and Saulx rivers, by the harmonious lines of Château de la Varennes in Haironville or Château Gilles de Trêves in Ville-sur-Saulx, and by the memory of the Maginot Line in the small town of Revigny-sur-Ornain.
Discover the city of Metz

Anchor yourself in Metz, where you can visit the impressive Centre Pompidou as soon as you arrive at the station. This museum of contemporary art is the culmination of the Amphitheatre district development project, where it's pleasant to stroll and admire these impressive buildings. Then head to the city center to admire the magnificent Gothic architecture of Metz Cathedral. The small pedestrian streets in the center are brimming with stores of all kinds and cute little cafés where you can stop for a break.

The next day, discover the city's green spaces: formal gardens (Jardin de l'Esplanade), botanical gardens, medicinal plants at the Récollets cloister...
Face to face with nature

Continue your green escapade by exploring the Parc animalier de Sainte-Croix. A total of 1,500 animals roam freely in this 120-hectare park. Play areas, entertainment and shows will delight the whole family.

Discovery of Sarreguemines

On your last day in Moselle, head for Sarreguemines. From the colorful facades of the banks of the Saar to the bourgeois houses with remarkable architecture, Sarreguemines is full of unsuspected treasures. While strolling around, you will discover the historical center and its prestigious past, inevitably linked to the faience industry of the city.
Nancy, one day

Take two days to visit Nancy, its sumptuous Place Stanislas, its art nouveau buildings, its old town and its cobbled streets, the Place de la Carrière, the Villa Majorelle, the Fine Arts Museum and the Lorraine Museum. Between two visits, take a break in the Pépinière park and stroll through its rose garden, which is particularly worth a visit in May. On summer evenings, the Place Stanislas also hosts one of the most beautiful sound and light shows in the region, which you will remember for a long time.
Nancy, two days
Depending on your first day in the ducal city, take advantage of this second day to complete your visit to Nancy. It's well worth a visit.
Heritage jewels from Meurthe-et-Moselle
Steps: Saint-Nicolas-De-Port
The next day, drive to Saint-Nicolas-de-Port and Lunéville. Located 12 kilometers from Nancy, Saint-Nicolas-de-Port is best known for its basilica, a jewel of Lorraine. This Gothic masterpiece was built between 1481 and 1560 in honor of Saint Nicolas, Bishop of Myre. Continue further south to Lunéville, a royal city and home to the Château des Lumières. Classified as a historic monument, it remains one of the finest architectural and landscape ensembles of the 18th century. After your visit, relax in the elegant French garden. A veritable green lung for the site, the Bosquets garden and park form a 21-hectare green setting.
Baccarat crystal

On your last day in Meurthe-et-Moselle, take the glass route to Baccarat. Crossed by the Meurthe River, Baccarat is a town of many assets, surrounded by a landscape as beautiful as it is soothing. The town is particularly associated with the perfection of crystal. The world-famous Baccarat crystal works attract many visitors every year.
La Cité des Images

In Épinal, the Image capital and prefecture of the Vosges, you can visit its famous Imagerie interactively, thanks to tablets that bring the past back to life using augmented reality. But the Cité des Images has much more to offer: a rich historical heritage, lush green landscapes, a museum housing a masterpiece by Georges de la Tour and numerous festivals throughout the year.
Nature getaway

Then it's on to Gérardmer to enjoy its tranquillity and breathtaking scenery. The grandiose panoramas of Lac de Gérardmer, the largest natural lake in the Vosges, have earned it the nickname of "the pearl of the Vosges". Don't hesitate to take a walk around the lake. A 6 km-long signposted trail allows you to enjoy the superb scenery all year round. In summer, pedal boats, canoes, swimming and ice cream vendors await holidaymakers, and the landscaped banks offer the spectacle of a veritable "Vosges Riviera". In winter, Gérardmer is transformed into a veritable ski resort. Downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, tobogganing, snowshoeing, snowboarding, snowkiting: there's something for everyone.
