How to get there - Sombor
Sombor (Upper Danube) - Apatin (25 km)
Steps: Apatin
We leave Sombor discovering its historical center and municipal museum, then we cross the bridge over the Danube-Tisza-Danube canal, we pass through romantic woods, we take breaks in " čarda" (local fish taverns), for swimming, fishing or a sport activity, we arrive in Apatin, a pretty village on the Danube. Bač Fortress - Bačko Novo Selo (44 km)
Steps: Bač
Starting from the historical center of Bač, we discover the Catholic monastery (12th c.) and the Bač fortress (14th c.), then the village of Vajska with its nearby lake and oak woods, and then the village of Bođani and its Orthodox monastery (17th c.) producing honey. Continuing along the Danube one arrives in the village of Plavna and then to Bačko Novo Selo where one can revive oneself in one of the restaurants on the Danube (Čarda).
