Day 1: Arrival in Belize City
Steps: Belize City
Arrival in Belize City. First night in the economic capital of the country to recover from jet lag.
Day 2: Zoo, fauna and flora, and a walk along the Macal river
Steps: La Democracia, Belmopán, San Ignacio
In the morning, departure for the city of San Ignacio. On the way, stop at the Belize Zoo, for a first encounter with the Belizean fauna, and lunch break in Belmopan, capital of the country at the Farm House Deli, a trendy delicatessen for a discovery of the Belizean products. Arrival in San Ignacio in the afternoon, stroll along the Macal river, and dinner in one of the gourmet restaurants of the city.

Day 3: The Amazing Mayan Caves
Steps: San Ignacio, Tapir Mountain Nature Reserve
Half-day dedicated to exploring Actun Tunichil Muknal's "ATM", a site of Mayan preclassical culture among the best preserved in the world. You must be accompanied by a guide for this visit (many tour organizers directly in San Ignacio). Picnic on site, then back to the Belize Botanic Garden, for its 2,000 species of tropical trees and plants and its 100 species of orchids.
Day 4: In the heart of the Belizean jungle
Steps: San Ignacio, Xunantunich
Day trip to the archaeological site of Xunantunich, its 26 temples and 6 squares, in the heart of the Belizean jungle. Return to San Ignacio in the middle of the afternoon, chocolate making workshop at Ajaw Chocolate following the traditional Mayan method and finish with a tasting of your creations!
Day 5: Crooked Tree, the bird sanctuary
Steps: Crooked Tree
Departure for the authentic village of Crooked Tree located in the heart of a natural reserve very appreciated by bird lovers. Lunch by the river, and afternoon canoe trips to discover the area. Dinner at a local's house to meet the local population.
Day 6: Immersion in the village of Crooked Tree
Steps: Altun Ha, Crooked Tree
Visit from Crooked Tree Village (1 hour 30 minutes drive) of the archaeological site ofAltun Ha, lunch in one of the restaurants surrounding the site, return to Crooked Tree Village for a quiet evening in the middle of nature.
Day 7: Discovery of the beautiful Belizean beaches
Steps: Hopkins
Transfer to the village ofHopkins, check into your hotel and discover the Belizean beaches. Lunch based on seafood, afternoon immersion in the Garifuna culture with a percussion course on the beach, or for the more athletic ones willing to face the waves a windsurfing course.
Day 8: Do you like orchids? Here are 250 species
Steps: Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, Hopkins
Departure for a day of adventure to the Cocksomb Basin Wildlife sanctuary, its 250 species of orchids, its 700 species of trees, its 290 species of birds and especially its famous jaguars. It is indeed the first and most important reserve in the world for this rare feline. Day walk through the paths of the reserve, accompanied by a local guide who will give you all the good advices not to find yourself in a bad position in front of this frightening wild animal! Return to Hopkins at the end of the day.
Day 9: Belize City Colonial Architecture
Steps: Belize City, San Pedro
Direction Belize City, drop your bags to the ferry company, then explore Belize City and its colonial architecture with typical Creole influences. Lunch at the Birds Isle Restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Maison de la culture, before taking the boat at the end of the day towards San Pedro (1 hour 30 from Belize City).

Day 10: Shipment of diving and shopping
Steps: San Pedro
First half day at Ambergris Caye dedicated to discovery of Ho Chan Marine Reserve through a dive expedition, which generally combines a stop at Shark Rak Alley. Return for lunch, to take in one of the many restaurants in the central district of San Pedro. In the afternoon, stroll through the few streets of the city to discover the souvenir shops and enjoy a relaxing moment with a massage or spa session.

Day 11: Discovery of Great Blue Hole
Steps: Lighthouse Reef
Day dedicated to discovery of Great Blue Hole (4 hours of return journey). Back at the end of the day, and moments "relax and music" in one of the bars of Ambergris Caye.

Day 12: How about trying fishing?
Steps: San Pedro
Fly fishing initiation day in the mangrove area around San Pedro. Paradise landscape guaranteed! The country is famous for its permits and tarpons. For those who love the beach more than fishing, a lazy day!
Day 13: Opportunities for an island
Steps: Caye Caulker, San Pedro
When you wake up, departure for Caye Caye (45 minutes driving from San Pedro by ferry), discovery on foot of the island and its beach which promises good moments of idleness. Night at Caye Caye to enjoy its Caribbean nightlife and its original reggae band.
Day 14: Adios Belize!
Steps: Belize City
Depending on your flight schedule, departure in the morning or early afternoon by ferry for Belize City, and direction International airport to take your return flight.
