Day 1: Nature and active tourism in natural parks

Steps: Minsk, Parc National Des Lacs De Braslav

Nature occupies a fundamental place in the lives of Belarusians who have a strong connection to the land. In spring, the vegetable garden season begins. In summer, the forests are invaded by mushroom and berry picking enthusiasts. Moreover, the country abounds in green areas and natural parks which makes Belarus a real jewel for nature lovers! There are many possibilities to practice various activities and regenerate yourself in contact with nature.

Fishing. Whether by lake or river, all Belarusians without exception are fishermen. This should come as no surprise: in Belarus there are a few thousand lakes and rivers populated by trout, salmon, perch, carp, pike, crayfish, etc. A fishing licence is required. You will get it for a small fee from the park offices or from the travel agencies that organize your stay. Generally, in the park offices, it is also possible to rent all the necessary equipment for fishing.

Hunting. This is a great classic of tourism in Belarus. With its exceptional natural environment and a profusion of animals unique in Europe, Belarus has for centuries attracted hunters from all over Europe. It offers enthusiasts a wide variety of hunting options: wild boar, wolf, deer, roe deer, woodcock, capercaillie and spruce grouse, and even buffalo hunting! Licenses can be purchased at park offices.

Rafting or canoeing. On the Augustus canal, on the Neman, on the Pripyat', on the Braslav lakes.... there's only so many to choose from! Ask at the Minsk Tourist Office for the addresses of agencies that rent the necessary equipment.

Hiking or cycling through the natural parks. The country's altitudes make hiking accessible to all. This is the ideal way to discover the variety of flora and fauna in Belarus and to dive into its wilderness. And for the night, tent and sleeping bag!

Day 2: Discovering medieval Belarus

Steps: Niasvij, Ružany, Lida, Navahroudak, Lubča, Mir, Kreva

This eight- or ten-day tour will allow you to immerse yourself in the Belarusian past and visit what remains of the castles of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. GolšanyKrevo, Lida, Novogrudok, Ljubca, Mir, Nesviz, Ruzany, formerly important centres where the nobility of the Grand Duchy resided, today they are pretty charming villages where the remains of the ancient fortifications can be found. This tour combines a visit to the main sites of the Belarusian Middle Ages with a peaceful stay in the country's countryside.

Day 3: Spas

Steps: Minsk, Parc National Naračanski İ, Parc National Des Lacs De Braslav

In Soviet times, the region was very popular with Russian tourists, especially for its waters and sludges, renowned for their curative virtues of skin, liver, nerves and respiratory conditions. Neglected after welcoming mass Soviet tourism, these centres now resurrect and modernise gradually. Most of the healing establishments are located in the Narocanskij Park, in the region of Enterprise lakes, in Western Polésie and in the Minsk region, in sectors suitable for long walks, walking or cycling. Plan for one week, five to six days of care on one site.
