How to get there - Singapore City

Little India

From the first day, for a guaranteed change of scenery, go to Little India (preferably on Sundays), its temples, its fruit and vegetable markets on street corners, jewellers, jasmine scents, Bollywood tunes, you are in India? No, in Singapore. Enjoy Indian cuisine, from the north or south, they are all represented and continue to Mount Emily Park to the Old School of Arts in Mount Sophia to discover the Singapore art scene. Then go down to the Bugis and Bencoolen district and finish the day in Kampoung Glam, in Singapore's Muslim district. Ideal for a shopping break.

Chinatown

After India, China is in the spotlight for this second day. The morning can be spent visiting Chinatown. Visit the URA (Urban Redevelopment Authority) Center to understand the city's organization and discover future land use planning projects.

At noon, you can have lunch at Lau Pa Sat, a food court whose structure is made of wrought iron filigree imported from Glasgow. Very popular with both tourists and CBD employees.

In the afternoon, continue with a visit to the Museum of Asian Civilizations and a walk along the river. In the evening, dinner on the docks.

Botanism

You can start the day, when it is not yet too hot, with a visit to the botanical garden; you can have lunch on site or in one of Orchard Road's air-conditioned malls. In the afternoon, visit the colonial district. Take advantage of the hot hours to visit museums, such as the Perenakan Museum, the Singapore National Museum or the Singapore Art Museum. Depending on the time of day, you can then go for a "high-tea" at the mythical Raffle's Hotel or the famous Singapore Sling cocktail. In the evening, walk along the Esplanade to reach the Marina Bay Sands. Players will go to the casino, others will be able to admire the city from the roof of the hotel.

March in Singapore

You have time, take advantage of it to let yourself be surprised and take the measure of the "garden city". Put on good shoes, get some water and let's go for a 9 km walk from Harbour Front to West Coast Park. You will cross 3 parks, walk more than 70 metres high and take the highest pedestrian bridge, Henderson Waves. During this walk, you will have a breathtaking view of the south and west of the island and especially of the petrochemical island of Jurong. In the afternoon, you can visit the bird park or the Chinese and Japanese gardens. Alternatively, if you want to continue your day in the wilderness, spend the afternoon in the MacRitchie Reservoir forest. Several routes, from 3 to 11 km, are available to nature lovers. After this day of walking, an evening in the Dempsey district will offer a well-deserved rest.

Culture and nature

Destination is for this day which will combine culture and nature. In the morning, stroll around the Katong district, admire the charming Perenakan houses (descendants of the first Chinese immigrants who settled in the 16th century and married Malaysian girls). To discover this culture, make an appointment with the must-see Peter Wee of Katong Antique House.

In the afternoon, rent bicycles or rollerblades and drive along East Coast Road to Changi village. In the evening, you can have seafood dinner in East Coast. End your day with a last drink in Geyland, considered Singapore's red-light district.
