In the morning, walk along Manila Bay to Rizal Park. This bay is one of the favorite places of the Filipinos for Sunday walks. You can rub shoulders with the people and see the monument erected in honor of the national hero, Dr. Rizal. In the afternoon, visit the Intramuros district to experience the Spanish colonial way of life. It is necessary to walk on the Plaza San Luiz where cafés, restaurants and shops are installed. In the evening, after a final stroll along Manila Bay to watch the sunset, head for Malate or Makati, two of the capital's liveliest neighbourhoods.
