Day 1: Kathmandu
Steps: Katmandou
Take advantage of this first day to recover from the long journey. Stroll the bustling streets of the capital and soak up the city's atmosphere. Don't hesitate to leave the Thamel district to escape the touts and take in the spectacle of daily life.
Day 2: Kathmandu, early morning
Steps: Patan, Swayambhunath
In the early morning, when the stores have not yet raised their curtains (around 7:30 a.m.), return to Dubar Square. At the foot of the temples that have made Kathmandu such a dazzling kingdom, you'll witness the unpacking of the market. Soon, the whole city will be awake. Continue your visit towards Swayambhunath (2 km west). At the top of a long series of steps, devotees crowd around the valley's oldest stupa every day.
DURBAR SQUARE
Day 3: Patan
Spend the day in Patan. The museum inside the Royal Palace is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful in the country and a must-see. Explore the streets of the ancient royal city to discover the multitude of Buddhist temples, built out of sight in small, hidden courtyards. Return to Kathmandu in the evening.
Day 4: Kathmandu, the must-see temples
Steps: Pashupatinath, Bodnath
In a country where Hindus and Buddhists meet at the same temples, there are several sacred sites that cannot be ignored. Bodnath and Pashupatinath are among them. Just a twenty-minute walk separates the two sanctuaries, making for a pleasant stroll.
Day 5: On the way to Bhaktapur
Steps: Bhaktapur, Nagarkot, Dhulikel
It's time to run away from the city. If the weather allows it, it is at dawn that you should go to Nagarkot or Dhulikhel to admire a panorama of the Himalayan peaks: Langtang Lirung (7,246 m), Dorje Lakpa (6,966 m) or Gauri Shankar (7,145 m). Night in the evening in Bhaktapur.
Day 6: Bhaktapur
Steps: Bhaktapur

Day 7: Back to Kathmandu
