Discover the Museo-park of Alesia. A place of history and memory, this site is part of the national heritage since the famous battle between Caesar and Vercingetorix. On the program on day 1
Steps: Autun
The morning will be devoted to a guided tour of the Gallo-Roman monuments of Autun: the Temple of Janus, the Saint-André gate and the Arroux gate, the ramparts and the ancient theater.
Then you will go to the Bibracte site for a Gallic lunch. In the afternoon, you will follow a guided tour of the Bibracte archeological site and the Museum. Then, taste ancient wines or cervoise (Bibracte beer).
Return to Autun for dinner and overnight at the hotel.
On the program on day 2
Steps: Alise-Sainte-Reine
After your breakfast, head for Alise-Sainte-Reine to visit the Alesia Museopark. The scenographic tour retraces the battle between Caesar and Vercingetorix. Outside, you will also see the most spectacular: the life-size reconstitution of a hundred meters of fortifications and a part of the Roman camp.
You will have lunch at the restaurant.
Finally, you will take a guided tour of the remains of the Gallo-Roman city at the top of Mont Auxois.
