The ice festival and the Tsaatans

In the depths of Mongolia, at the border of Siberia, in the infinity of the taiga, a people almost forgotten, they are the Tsaatans. Today they settle in the north of the province of Khuvsgul, near the lake Khovsgol ("the blue pearl of Mongolia"), the Tsaatans count 50 families divided into two main groups, that is to say nearly 300 people in total. They are not Buddhists but shamanists, they do not live in yurts but in teepees and their main wealth is not the horse but the reindeer; their name means in Mongolian "those who ride the reindeer". It is a trip however intended for motivated and informed people because it will be necessary to know how to forget one's own criteria of comfort and logic
