Visit to Delphi and Arachova

Steps: Delphes

Your guided tour of Meteora begins with a morning pick-up at your hotel, then you'll head for Delphi, passing through the Veotia region and the picturesque village of Arachova built on the slopes of Mount Parnassus. After spending an hour and a half at your leisure in Delphi, "the Navel of the Earth", you'll continue on to Kalambaka, passing through the town of Lamia and passing through many picturesque villages and small towns of central Greece. During the hour and a half at your leisure in Delphi, you can visit the archaeological site and museum of Delphi on your own (without the guide).

Arrive in Kalambaka for dinner and overnight stay.

Visit to the Monasteries and Thermopylae

Steps: Lamia

After breakfast, your sightseeing tour of Meteora continues as you leave Kalambaka and head for the famous Meteora with its Byzantine monasteries built on top of huge rocks that seem to be suspended in mid-air. In the afternoon, you'll leave Metora and begin your return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia, Thermopylae (visit the Leonida monument) and Kammena Vourla.

Return to Athens by 6 p.m.
