Djibouti is one of the best places in the world to see whale sharks. These gentle giants come to feed on the plankton they find in high concentrations around Ras Eiro and Arta Plage, and are easily approached by snorkeling
Simply put, whale sharks are the biggest fish in the world! In Djibouti, we can see sharks up to 8m long with a mouth span of almost 1m! But there's no need to fear them, because despite their gigantic size, whale sharks feed on the smallest organisms in the ocean, and their peaceful nature makes meeting them an unforgettable experience .
As they feed on the surface, it's easy to see them without even getting wet! Interaction with whale sharks generally takes place in the first 5 meters of water, so it's easy to observe them with fins, mask and snorkel.

You'll have the chance to swim with Whale Sharks for 45-60 minutes. Don't forget your cameras (without flash!) to immortalize this incredible moment!
During the season, regular outings are organized every Friday and Saturday. Included: water, lunch, snorkeling and/or diving equipment. Possibility of private group outings, please CONTACT US.
