Trek in the Tsum valley

Unknown in Nepal, the Tsum Valley Trek offers a unique cultural and environmental experience. Set in the Manaslu region, the trek passes through inaccessible villages, historic monasteries and breathtaking landscapes. For those looking for an off-the-beaten-track adventure in Nepal, this trek is perfect.

The Tsum Valley is a unique area in the Trans-Himalayan region of northern Gorkha. The valley borders Tibet and is surrounded by the Ganesh Himal, Sringi Himal and Boudha ranges. Visitors to this valley will have the opportunity to discover a variety of unique cultures, including the practice of polyandry (having more than one husband).

The local Tibetan population speaks a distinct dialect and celebrates unique festivals, including mask dances and saka dawa. The Tsumbas, the people of the Tsum valley, originally belonged to Tibet.
