Trek du col Lumba Sumba

The Lumba Sumba Pass Trek is a high-altitude trek in Nepal's eastern Himalayas. It offers intense hiking trails through wild mountain landscapes with breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks and dense woods.

The most exciting part of the hike involves crossing the Lumba Sumba Pass, which reaches a height of 5,106 meters. The pass is one of the least explored areas that was opened to the public in 2012. Here, the trail crosses the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area and Makalu Barun National Park. It's therefore the best way to explore the base camp in a single hike.

This pass is part of the Great Himalayan Trail (GMT). Some of the major attractions of this trek are different ethnic groups such as Sherpa, Rai, Gurung, Magar, Newar and Tamang, beautiful scenery, diverse flora and fauna, Kanchenjunga base camp, Mount Makalu and the Lumba Sumba peak (5,200 m) itself.
