Detail of the stay : 8 Jours Mara - L Nakuru - Amboseli - Tsavo West - Tsavo East - 8 days
Departure for the Masai Mara
Welcome at the airport and drive to the famous Masai Mara National Reserve, admiring the magnificent scenery along the way. Arrive at the resort in time for lunch. After lunch, embark on a late afternoon safari across this vast savannah in search of wildlife. The reserve is home to a huge concentration of wildlife, so you're guaranteed a chance to see at least three or four of the Big Five. Finally, return to the resort for dinner and overnight.
Discover the Masai Mara
After breakfast, you'll set off on a full-day safari in the Mara. The Mara is mainly open, flat grassland with long, fine grasses dotted with acacia trees. The geological fault that forms the Esoit escarpment formed the western edge of the Mara. Three main rivers feed the region: Sand, Talek and Mara. The Mara's most famous events revolve around the Great Migration, and in particular river crossings where migrating animals are concentrated and attacked by land and water predators. The region is also home to the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and black rhino). Other animals you may encounter in the area include wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, topi, eland, impala, giraffe, hippo, crocodile, hyena, cheetah, jackal, fox, vulture, stork, crane, ostrich, eagle and roller. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
From Masai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park
Depart after breakfast and drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Lake Nakuru National Park boasts a sanctuary for endangered black and white rhinos, Rothschild's giraffe, a wide variety of wildlife and over 400 species of birds. Lunch after check-in and departure in the late afternoon for a game drive in this magnificent park. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
From Lake Nakuru National Park to Amboseli National Park
Depart after breakfast for Amboseli National Park, at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. Lunch after check-in at the safari camp before setting off in the late afternoon for a game drive in search of wild animals, including herds of African elephants. Return to camp for dinner and overnight.
Discover Amboseli National Park
Have breakfast a little earlier, around 7:00 am, and set off on an early morning safari before the sun rises. This early start will allow you to see the snow-covered Kilimanjaro and observe the wild animals before they hide in the bushes to avoid the mid-day heat. You'll return to camp for a free lunch before the late afternoon safari, when you'll have another chance to see wild animals in their natural habitat. Dinner and overnight stay at the safari camp.
Amboseli National Park to Tsavo West National Park
Depart after breakfast and drive to Tsavo West National Park, with a safari en route. You'll arrive at Tsavo West National Park in time for lunch. After lunch and check-in at the lodge, embark on a late afternoon game drive. The park is home to leopard, cheetah, buffalo, rhino, elephant, giraffe, zebra, mongoose, hyrax, dik-dik, lesser kudu and nocturnal porcupine. In addition, there are over 600 species of birds. Finally, back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
From Tsavo West National Park to Tsavo East National Park
Depart after breakfast and drive to Tsavo East National Park. This park is more arid than Tsavo West National Park, with dry bushes and rocky outcrops, such as the 1.6 km-long Mudanda rock outcrop. The park is also home to the spectacular Yatta Plateau, some 290 km long and featuring the longest lava flow. You'll also see a series of rapids, known as Lugards Falls, on the Galana River, which meanders through the park. In addition, the Athi River, which rises in Nairobi, flows through the park. After lunch, the afternoon is devoted to a safari in search of wild animals such as buffalo, lion, leopard, hippo, crocodile, waterbuck, lesser kudu, gerenuk and hirola antelope. The park is also home to over 500 species of bird. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.
