Nairobi National Park
Nairobi National Park, just 7 km outside the southern city, is a unique safari experience. This 117 km² park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including rhinos, lions and giraffes, which can be seen against the backdrop of skyscrapers and planes landing in the distance.
Wildlife
The park is known for its successful rhino sanctuary, with over 50 black rhinos residing within its boundaries. Despite its location near Kenya's largest city, poachers managed to kill a rhino in the park in 2013, marking the first such incident in six years. Lions and hyenas are commonly seen in the park, and visitors can also spot leopards and cheetahs with a little patience and luck.
