Day 1: Arrival and transfer - Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park (Kihihi airstrip)

Steps: Entebbe, Forêt Impénétrable De Bwindi

On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by our representative. He will then take you to the airstrip for your scheduled domestic flight to Kihihi airstrip. Flying time is just over an hour (depending on itinerary and aircraft used). Meet your guide at the airstrip and transfer to your lodge on the perimeter of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home of the mountain gorilla, about 1 ½ hours drive through rural villages along marrame roads. Bwindi National Park, located in southwestern Uganda on the edge of the Great Rift Valley, is considered Uganda's most diverse forest.

Day 2: Ultimate Gorilla Trekking & Batwa Community Visit - Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early breakfast, you'll head to park headquarters to meet your guides for the day and begin your gorilla tracking experience. Experienced guides and trackers will accompany your group on an early morning hike through dense rainforest on the mountain slopes. Few words can describe the thrill of today's experience! Coming face to face with mountain gorillas is a rare wildlife encounter that is exhilarating, humbling and exciting all at once. Please note that tracking gorillas is strenuous, with hikes ranging from one hour to eight hours, at high altitude and in hot African conditions. The excitement of the hour you'll spend quietly observing these gentle giants once you've found them is well worth the trek to get there! Although mountain gorillas are wild animals and sightings are not guaranteed, the success rate is over 95%.

Later, after lunch, you'll embark on an excursion to a Batwa village on the edge of the park. This amazing encounter will give you the chance to meet Batwa elders and their families and learn about their daily lives.

Day 3: Transfert et excursion Agartha's Taste of Uganda - Parc national Queen Elizabeth (secteur Ishasha)

Steps: Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, transfer to Ishasha and check into your lodge in Ishasha, the southern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park, about 1-2 hours' drive away.

En route, you'll visit a community project on the border of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Here, locals will let you spend time on their farms, seeing the crops and curios they produce, seeing how they prepare their food while sharing stories about the Bakiga people and their way of life. In the afternoon, you'll head off on safari into the Ishasha region, in search of huge herds of buffalo, elephants, Ugandan Kob and, of course, the famous climbing lion typically found in the area. You'll end the day with a sundowner from a picturesque vantage point on the ridge overlooking Ishasha, taking in the vast panoramas, the sunset and the atmosphere of this magnificent part of the park.

Day 4: Morning and afternoon game drives - Ishasha area, Queen Elizabeth National Park

Wake up early in the morning for a cup of hot coffee and set off on a full-day safari in the Ishasha region, in search of huge herds of buffalo, elephant, Uganda Kob and, of course, the famous tree-climbing lion typically found in the area. Later, you'll enjoy a late-afternoon sunset to witness the animals' retreat and the golden sunset.

Day 5: Sunrise safari and transfer to Entebbe international airport
