Arrival - Nairobi, Kenya
Steps: Nairobi
On arrival in Nairobi, transfer to your reserved hotel. This charming hotel is located in the quiet suburb of Karen. Set in 2.5 beautifully manicured hectares on the outskirts of Nairobi, this elegant property was originally a sumptuous private estate. Later acquired by a local family, it has been carefully renovated to create this distinctive inn offering personalized Kenyan hospitality.
If you arrive in the early afternoon, you'll set off for your first wildlife experience, with a safari in nearby Nairobi National Park. Designated a protected reserve by the British colonial government in 1946, this 45-square-mile park on the outskirts of the city is home to black rhinos, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, buffalo, giraffes and a diverse birdlife, with over 400 species recorded.
