Day 1: Arrival in Delhi

On arrival at Delhi Indira Gandhi International Airport, you will be met by a driver who will take you to your accommodation. Take advantage of your first evening to relax after the journey or explore the area around your accommodation.

Day 2: Delhi to Jaisalmer

Steps: Jaisalmer

After breakfast, fly from Delhi to Jaisalmer, located in the Thar Desert, in the heart of Rajasthan. On arrival, settle into your accommodation. Then set off to explore the old walled city of Jaisalmer, with its famous yellow sandstone fort overlooking the city and its narrow streets filled with merchants and craftsmen.

Day 3: Day trip to Jaisalmer

Take advantage of this day to explore Jaisalmer in depth. Visit the Jaisalmer Fort, also known as the "Sonar Quila" or "Golden Fort", home to magnificent palaces, temples and intricately carved havelis. Stroll through the lively lanes of the old town, steeped in Rajasthani history and charm. At the end of the day, watch the sun set over the golden sand dunes of the Thar Desert on an excursion by jeep or camel.

Day 4: Jaisalmer to Jodhpur

After breakfast, depart Jaisalmer for Jodhpur, also known as the "Blue City". On arrival, settle into your accommodation. Next, visit the majestic Mehrangarh Fort, perched on a steep hill and offering panoramic views over the blue city of Jodhpur. Also explore the bustling old town market, where you can buy unique souvenirs.

Day 5: Jodhpur to Pushkar

Steps: Pushkar, Jodhpur

in the morning, depart Jodhpur for Pushkar, one of India's holiest cities, famous for its sacred lake and Hindu temples. On arrival, settle into your accommodation. Then visit Pushkar Lake, surrounded by sacred ghats where pilgrims come to bathe and purify themselves. Also explore the Brahma Temple, one of the few temples dedicated to Brahma in India

Day 6: Pushkar to Jaipur

Steps: Jaipur, Pushkar

After breakfast, depart Pushkar for Jaipur, the colorful capital of Rajasthan. On arrival, settle into your accommodation. Then spend the afternoon exploring the city. You can visit the city's palace, the Hawa Mahal (Palace of the Winds), and stroll through the lively streets of the old town.

Day 7: Day trip to Jaipur

Steps: Jaipur

Spend the day exploring Jaipur's treasures. Visit the majestic Amber Fort, located on a hill a few kilometers from Jaipur. Access to the fort is by elephant or jeep. Then visit the Jantar Mantar, a UNESCO World Heritage astronomical observatory. End your day shopping in the local markets for souvenirs and handicrafts.

Day 8: Jaipur to Agra

In the morning, depart Jaipur for Agra, the iconic city of the Taj Mahal. On arrival, settle into your accommodation. Then visit the Taj Mahal, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal (you can also visit the Taj Mahal at sunrise the following day). You can also visit Agra Fort, an impressive fortified complex built of red sandstone.

Day 9: Agra to Gwalior

After breakfast, depart Agra for Gwalior, a historic city in Madhya Pradesh. On arrival, settle into your accommodation. Then visit the majestic Gwalior Fort, which dominates the city from a hilltop. The fort houses numerous temples, palaces and pleasure palaces. You can also visit the tomb of Tansen, a famous musician in the court of Emperor Akbar.

Day 10: Gwalior to Orchha

In the morning, depart from Gwalior for Orchha, a small town on the banks of the Betwa River. On arrival, settle into your accommodation. Then explore the city's magnificent temples and palaces, including the Ram Raja temple, the Jahangir Mahal palace and the chhatris (royal crematoria) overlooking the river.

Day 11: Orchha to Khajurhao

After breakfast, depart Orchha for Khajuraho, famous for its beautifully carved Hindu and Jain temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On arrival, settle into your accommodation and visit Khajuraho's iconic temples, renowned for their erotic carvings and exquisite artistic detail.

Day 12: Khajuraho in Varanasi

i In the morning, depart from Khajuraho for Varanasi, one of the oldest living cities in the world and one of the holiest places in Hinduism. On arrival, settle into your accommodation. In the late afternoon, stroll along the ghats (steps leading down to the river) of the Ganges to witness the Ganga Aarti ceremony, a unique spiritual experience.

Day 13: A day in Varanasi

Take advantage of this day to explore the many fascinating aspects of Varanasi. Take a boat trip on the Ganges at sunrise to see the city awaken and devotees bathe and perform religious rituals. Then explore the labyrinthine streets of the old city, visit ancient temples and witness religious ceremonies along the ghats

Day 14: Varansi to Delhi (Flight)

In the morning, enjoy a last moment in Varanasi before catching your flight to Delhi. On arrival in Delhi, settle into your accommodation. You can spend the afternoon exploring some of the sites you may not have seen yet, such as Humayun's tomb, the Qutub Minar, or simply stroll through the bustling bazaars of the old city to buy souvenirs and gifts

Day 15: Departure from Delhi

Depending on your flight time, take advantage of your last morning in Delhi to visit some of the city's iconic sites, such as the Red Fort, the Gateway to India or the Lotus Temple. Then transfer to Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport for your return flight to France.
