Praia de Mira, with the dunes and the Atlantic on one side, and the quiet lagoon of Barrinha de Mira on the other, is a pretty fishing village that is developing as a seaside resort.

Étape 3 : From Prais de Mira to Figueira da Foz (55 km)

Steps: Figueira Da Foz

This stage is surrounded by dunes, which are covered by pine forests. You will take time to appreciate this beautiful green landscape. You pedal along the Atlantic coast and climb up to the Serra da Boa Viagem to enjoy the panoramic view from the Miradouro da Vela, where you can see the city as well as the salt marshes of the Mondego River. If the weather is clear, you will be able to see the whole coastline up to the Berlengas Islands. Then, the trip goes down to the lighthouse of Cape Mondego.

Night in Figueira da Foz.

Étape 4 : From Figueira da Foz to São Pedro de Moel (65 km)

Steps: São Pedro De Moel

Stage 4: Figueira da Foz | São Pedro de Moel (65 km)

Today's ride will start by crossing the bridge over the Mondego River, arriving near Carriço, and it will continue on a bicycle path that will lead you to the Pinhal de Leiria. This pine forest was planted by King D. Dinis in the 14th century to provide essential wood for the construction of ships.

You pedal along small beaches on a bicycle path that crosses this immense pine forest. Beaches such as Praia do Pedrogão, Praia da Vieira and Praia de São Pedro de Moel are oases in the landscape of pine forests that cover the dunes.
