This is the story of three friends, Maïder, Anne and Roxane, from the South-West of France, united by a taste for life, sports, challenges and parties. Their goal for this end of year (November 2022: dates to be confirmed) is to participate in the Raid Amazones

which will take place in Cambodia, in the heart of the mythical temples of Angkor. The Raid will take place over 10 days and will combine sports events in the morning (Trail, Canoe, Mountain bike, Archery) and solidarity activities with the local population in the afternoon.

Why do they want to participate?

For the sporting and human challenge! Sport is a way to surpass one's limits as a team while supporting a great cause. Indeed, through their participation the team wants to give visibility to the association "Hope Team East" that they support. The association created in December 2015 aims to fight against the exclusion of sick people by putting sport at the heart of their daily lives. Through its actions the association highlights the benefits of sport during illness by coaching all types of public and pathology. The people supported thus regain self-confidence and find a social link thanks to the practice of a sporting activity. The next challenge of the association "Cap Optimist

" will be to link Peru to French Polynesia at the beginning of 2023 in continuous relay on a paddle board. Local actions will be organized at the departure and arrival of the expedition. In particular, an educational program on health sports will be set up in elementary school and meetings and exchanges with children and women undergoing cancer treatment will be organized.

total budget to allow our three Amazons to participate in the Raid is 14 000€ (including taxes). Please note that beyond this amount, every cent collected will be donated to the Hope Team East association.
