Maybe don't know Kids United that the kids love… Yet this group of singers, in partnership with UNICEF, is a real phenomenon.
The success story of Kids United is recent but meteoric. It all began in 2015 when five talented singers from 8 to 15 years of age are gathered to promote and enforce the rights of the child through a partnership with UNICEF.
The organization that defends children's rights in the world immediately understood the interest of such a project. " Making these children singers of UNICEF messengers was exactly what needed to be addressed to all the children of the planet, "explains Christine Chevalier, UNICEF Communication Manager.
This is a successful collaboration: on every sale of album 1 € will be returned to UNICEF and in each album a small booklet will remind children their rights. Thanks to the 1,5-and-a-half million records sold, UNICEF has managed to collect the FRF 1,5 million!
A third opus entitled Forever United was released this summer. Several famous artists participated in this disc including Michel Fugain, Patrick Bruel or Youssou'n Dour.
But Kids United don't just sing, they also go on the ground with UNICEF "When we went to this orphanage in Senegal, we were faced with the harsh reality but we also realized that many children knew our songs by heart… It was really touching and this shows that songs are really the right way to convey messages to children about their rights. " says Nilusi, one of the group's singers.
Since June 2017, Kids United has been performing through France but will also travel to Brussels and Geneva. This tour will end on December 16, 2017 with a great concert in Paris at the compliments Arena. On each concert place purchased, € 1 will go to UNICEF.
