Created in 2015, this label brings together different trades related to construction (architects, design offices, real estate developers...) is based on the fact that today the construction industry is the leading producer of CO2 in France. A building emits greenhouse gases throughout its life, from the manufacture of building materials, their transport, the use of the building, until, finally, its destruction... The objective of this association is to participate in the construction of collective real estate projects with a carbon footprint divided by two, hence its name: Low Carbon Buildings. It should soon move towards the renovation of buildings in a rational way. This label has 3 levels of performance: BBCA Standard, BBCA Performance and BBCA Excellence.
