LE LABEL STATION VERTE DE VACANCES
Unlike other labels that reward establishments, the label Station Verte de Vacances is awarded to municipalities. It is the first ecotourism label in Fance. In other words, a Station Verte is a tourist centre of the rural world. For a municipality to be labelled, it is necessary that it presents a natural attraction, and offers the reception and the stay of tourists in a preserved environment (source: Charte des Stations Vertes de Vacances). With regard to leisure facilities and discovery, a Station Verte must have a supervised swimming area (which can be or not nearby), play areas, the parkway network to facilitate the access to natural areas, a hotel establishment, furnished, a 2-star campsite, a Tourist Office, an organisation for fishing, the shopping and entertainment. Without forgetting the label Famille Plus, which assesses the services offered to families in the French tourist municipalities.
