History. Lyon's two cousins Laurent Bourven and Marc Asseily founded Arpenteur, a top-of-the-range brand, in 2011. They draw their inspiration from the industrial world of the 1930s and produce handmade collections with a very limited number of pieces that they then distribute in the most advanced workwear boutiques around the world, such as Maiden, End and The Bureau. Surveyor plays with codes by combining period production methods and modern cuts. Their claim: to address the purists.
The products. The label favours beautiful materials, graphic and offbeat looks, military motifs and, of course, made in France. These choices combined with the low volumes produced have an impact on the purchase cost. The cloakroom thus varies from 200 to 600 euros, sometimes more. Quality has a price!
