Date of the Stalk of the Winter Velodrome in Paris in 1942 - the most important that took place in France - 13 000 Jews, about 4 000 children were arrested by French gendarmes and Policemen and sent to concentration or extermination camps: 7 500 were sent to a Camp camp, others in Drancy before being deported to the East. This ceremony pays tribute to these victims as much as it recognises the responsibility of the French State in the crimes perpetrated against the Jews of France under the German occupation and against the Righteous who tried to protect these innocent people, thereby registering in an illegal approach of resistance and risking their lives. In Paris, a commemoration takes place each year in front of the old Site Site site. A similar ceremony takes place in the French departments in front of stelas and dedicated monuments.
