UNAT (UNION NATIONALE DES ASSOCIATIONS DE TOURISME ET DE PLEIN AIR)
Go there and contact
Created in 1920, the UNAT included the main French associations and associations working for family tourism. Throughout the social reforms of the th century, UNAT played an important role in the democratization of the right to leisure and the development of holidays for all. It has allowed thousands of disadvantaged French to go on sports trips or outdoors.
In 2002, UNAT reoriented its mission : with 56 members, it now represents voluntary tourism among the public authorities. Its aim is to promote social tourism and develop solidarity actions in France and around the world through tourism. These actions are based on a general awareness of travellers regarding the consequences of tourism (environmental and social concerns), promoting the involvement of tourists in local development projects of the host population.
