The Université Paris III - Sorbonne Nouvelle offers language courses in its Didactique du Français Langue Etrangère (DFLE) department. Located on the Nation campus, the department offers specialized training in French as a foreign and second language, as well as in the didactics of French. Courses are given face-to-face, and are aimed at both foreign students wishing to learn or perfect their French, and French students wishing to train to teach French as a foreign language. The department offers a range of diplomas, including a minor in teaching French as a foreign language, a master's degree in teaching French as a foreign language, and diplomas in teaching French as a foreign language. The DFLE is also involved in research into the didactics of languages and cultures.
