The Order of Architects established by the Law of 3 January 1977 on architecture is a private law organization entrusted with public service tasks. Under the supervision of the Minister of Culture, the Order of Architects consists of the 29 000 architects: they are all approved in architecture and holders of receipts fulfilling the conditions laid down by law to exercise their profession: diploma, ethics, insurance, civil rights… The registration of the Order of Architects confers the right to practise the profession and to carry the title of architect. Finally, the Order of Architects consists of 26 Regional Councils and a National Council.
