Established in 2000, the Pension Guidance Council (COR) is an independent and pluralistic body of expertise and consultation, responsible for analysing and monitoring the medium- and long-term prospects of the French pension system.
On all pension issues (financial balance, amount of pensions, age and duration of insurance, redistribution, etc.), the COR develops the elements of a shared diagnosis and formulates, where appropriate, proposals to clarify the choices in the area of pension policy.
Also, the COR presents a detailed description of pension systems in nine other countries (Belgium, Finland, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Sweden, United Kingdom, United States).
