The purpose of Volunteering International Solidarity (VSI) is to complete a mission of general interest for a period of 6 months to 2 years, in developing countries (in the European space). The mission concerns the areas of cooperation and humanitarian action. The list of associations participating in this diplomacy programme is included. gov. fr
Conditions. We need to be major and unemployed. Some associations require a minimum age of 21 years. Transport, housing and food are supported. Compensation may be considered, between € 800 and € 100 per month. The volunteer is covered by the French Social Security system.
