Togo, located in West Africa on the shores of the Gulf of Benin, is a country full of little miracles. From children's smiles to waterfalls in the heart of the forest, Togo offers a unique experience. The country's history can be traced back to the migration of peoples in search of safer, more welcoming lands. Togo is also known for its ethnic and cultural diversity, with many different ethnic groups and traditions to discover along its 650 km length. Despite the penetration of Christianity and Islam, the Togolese remain attached to their animist beliefs and ancestral customs. Fetishists and diviners play an important role in Togolese society, dispensing gris-gris and practicing traditional medicine alongside modern medicine. For visitors, Togo offers a variety of accommodation options, from school hotels to hotel residences. Key towns to visit include Lomé, the capital, as well as Agbodrafo, Aného, Kpalimé and Sokodé. Togo also offers activities such as ecotourism, restaurants and a lively nightlife.
