By proposing to relive the emblematic moments of history, the documentary channel History, created in 1997 and integrated into the TF1 group in July 2004, gives us a perspective that combines distance and acuity, clarity and relevance, with close to 1000 documentaries distributed every year. The programme includes unpublished documentaries programmed in major thematic cycles; magazines and commemorations of events of the 19th century, etc. but also flagship programmes such as the history show presented by Michel Field every Friday at 9:30 p.m.; History presents its films presented by Jean Tulard every Thursday at 11 a.m. or still Vive le patrimoine presented by Valérie Expert every month.
