Croq'Nature Association is a benchmark for fair tourism. She organized her first «citoyen citizen and ecological » trip in 1985 and has since developed extensively. As co-author of the Fair Tourism Charter, member of the ATES and the Platform for Fair Trade, it works as a priority with the poorest populations in the outermost areas, such as the Tuareg. 40 % of the price of stays is intended for local benefits and investments, which allows the actors on site to manage tourism offer, 5 % funding for many local sustainable development projects : drilling, wells, schools, dispensaries, agro-ecology centre, training of gardeners, private microcredit. Friendship Franco Tuareg consists of travellers who follow the projects on site with local stakeholders ; together, they ensure the development and monitoring of projects.
What do they propose ? There are several types of circuits, all based on meeting the cultures and peoples of the Sahara and Atlas. Easy and more difficult walking, accompanied by camels or mules in the desert or in the Atlas, stays with multiple activities around a fixed link. In Morocco, individual circuits with reception each night in the inhabitant.
Where ? Algeria, Mali, Morocco, Mauritania, Niger, Benin, Togo, Guinea-Conakri, Burkina Faso, Chad, Senegal…
Prices and conditions. Stays take place over a period of 8 to 15 days, individually or in a group of up to 10 people. Count between 700 € and 1 € 600 depending on destination and duration of stay. Accession to Croq'Nature 20 €, idem for Friendship Franco Tuareg.
