CLOS DE VOUGEOT CASTLE
Built to honor the abbot of Cîteaux and its wine, Le Clos du Clos de Vougeot features both a pleasure house and vineyards in the heart of the Clos de la Clos. The Brotherhood of the Knights of the Tastewine settled there in 1945 and the Clos de Clos de Vougeot no longer produced wine since 1944. No sale or wine tasting is organized. The tour is on foot, except the old dormitory accessible by 30 steps.
A 20-minute film Never in Vain, always in vain, which was told by Pierre Arditi, completes the visit by tracing the history of the Castle and the Brotherhood of the Knights of the Tastewine.
